Isla Catalina, as the locals say, is the little sister of Saona Island. A smaller, more intimate island, with a great atmosphere, stunning natural Caribbean beauty, a reef at the beach and with much less visiting tourists than Saona.
We will travel along the countryside enjoying views of the mountains, sugar cane fields, african descended cattle farms and typical country homes, arriving at the port of La Romana.
- Catamaran: We step aboard our motorized Catamaran and set sail on the Caribbean Sea, where our adventure begins.
- The Wall Reef: we will stop here for 1 hour of snorkelling, you will have the opportunity to explore the wonders of nature and the many species found at this reef.
- Catalina Island: you will have 3-3.5 hours on the island, to eat, drink, enjoy the stunning beaches, scenery, snorkel or swim along the beach of the Caribbean Sea. This is a great opportunity for an amazing photo shoot, a walk or snorkeling above the coral reef, which is right at this beach!!
- Open Bar and Lunch on the island, **(open bar includes beer, rum, coke cola, sprite & water), Lunch is a full traditional chicken or pork dinner, **(fish or lobster available at extra cost, caught FRESH in local waters the night before) ** (resorts and Saona island only offer frozen lobster, imported from South Eastern Asia).
- Catalina Island: you will have 3-3.5 hours on the island, to eat, drink, enjoy the stunning beaches, scenery and snorkel or swim along the beach of the Caribbean Sea. This is a great opportunity for an amazing photo shoot, a walk or snorkeling above the coral reef!!
- Coral Reef: This reef is directly at the beach where we will spend our time on Catalina Island. snorkelling at the coral reef where you will see many different, colorful species of fish and different types of coral such as gorgonian. You will see lots of beautiful fish, sting rays, octopus and sometimes you may even be lucky enough to encounter a friendly dolphin!
- Catamaran: At the end of a blissful day, we set sail back to La Romana port and from there transport back to your resort or hotel.
