We specialize in all types of buggy adventures, offering smaller groups, the very best experience, VIP tours, private corporate tours, as well as extra options such as horseback riding or dinner on Macao beach. Off road driving is so much fun for everyone, from beginner to enthusiast, and definitely bring the kids along!!
**You have your choice of vehicle as follows, and choice of vehicle must be booked in advance, prices depend on the vehicle chosen.
-2 person, powerful CanAm 1000, which is a luxury version of an off road vehicle, also know as a “side by side” with full 4 wheel drive
-2 person dune buggy
-4 person dune buggy, or
-2 person quad (4-wheeler)
- Ranch: We start our adventure at our ranch with a quick safety briefing, fire up our engines and we are off! Our route will take us through the wild bush and dirt trails of the Macao area and the rural village of La Ceiba, to our first stop.
- Cave: This amazing natural cave has a fresh water pool with unbelievably clear blue water, you will have a chance to jump in, cool off and swim. We take off cruising the countryside off road and will pass little villages, fields of palm trees with horses, african descended cattle and more.
- Typical house: At this stop you have the opportunity to see a typical Dominican home, see the different foods growing there, learn about how they are grown and processed. Yes, of course we have some yummy things for you to try, such as: mamajuana, coffee, hot chocolate, then we leave for more off road driving fun!!
- Macao Beach: This is one of the most famous and beautiful beaches of the Dominican Republic and a favorite of Dominicans throughout the Island. This breathtaking huge beach is set in a bay with a stunning backdrop of sand colored cliffs, your opportunity for a swim in the clear water and some amazing photos to last a lifetime. We leave Macao beach and off road back to our ranch, where you will have the opportunity to see our photographer’s pictures and wash off before leaving for your resort or hotel.
**Add on option, extra cost: 25 minutes of horseback riding on the beach is done at Macao Beach, see details below.
***Important Information & Recommendations:
**Minimum age as follows: Children age 2-3 yrs old, no charge but must sit on parent’s lap.
children 4+ yrs old must be able to sit in their own seat with seatbelt, regular guest cost applies.
-wear dark clothing, not white or light colors, as the mud can permanently stain white/light colored clothes
-wear bathing suit under your clothes, bring a towel in a bag and flip flops are ok.
-bring cash for drinks, souvenirs, photo packages, cards are typically not accepted in remote areas
-helmet is provided, recommended to wear cheap sunglasses (may be damaged) and a bandana (re: dust), we sell both at cheap prices and makes a great souvenir!
-beer, water and snacks available for purchase, limit of 1 beer before leaving the ranch, you may drink beer at Macao beach and after, at our ranch.
-tour length includes hotel transfer, the length of the excursion itself, is 2-2.5 hours
***Horseback Riding on Macao Beach: Extra cost. We are the ONLY excursion that offers this add-on to your buggy adventure!! You will horseback ride for 25 minutes at Macao Beach, (please note: the horses do not ride into the water as this is unhealthy for them in the heat). After horseback riding on the beach, you will have an opportunity to swim, take some photos and then drive back to our ranch to meet up with the rest of the group, for transport back to your resort or hotel.
