Who is this course for?
Open Water Diver is an entry level course into the mesmerizing world of recreational diving, this is where your real adventure with diving begins. This is the most popular course in the world, which provides an international certificate, accepted worldwide. Your health must be in good condition and the minimum age is 10 years old.
What will we teach you?
The aim of this course is to acquaint you with elements of physiology and physics of diving knowledge. Getting to know the equipment and how to use it before, during and after your dive. The course is made up of three parts , regardless of which federation it is done in (PADI, IANTD, RAID)
– Theoretical part: online with our instructor.
-Pool Exercise: we will teach you all standards, and required abilities and you will put your theoretical knowledge into practice
-Open water Exercise: you will put your pool knowledge into practice. This will be also be the time for your first dive, an underwater adventure among the beautiful coral reefs of the Caribbean Sea.
**You will need to complete the theoretical part online with us, before coming to the Dominican Republic. Please contact us to arrange payment and our instructor will guide you through each step of the course.
-The electronic textbook, PADI Open Water Diver Touch, can be installed on your PC, tablet or smartphone, allowing you to acquaint yourself with the diving knowledge in the comfort of your home and at your convenience.
-Quizzes and the final exam are taken online as well. After the final exam, you will consult with your instructor, on what you felt were the more difficult aspects for you, in your diving course.
-This learning model ensures a maximum comfort level, so that once you arrive here to do the practical exercises in the pool and in the open waters of the Caribbean Sea, you will already feel comfortable with your instructor and the online course you’ve taken. This enables you to thoroughly enjoy the practical applications of your knowledge.
-Once here, you will need to pass a swimming test in the pool, 200m or 300m in your ABC equipment (mask, snorkel, fins.) These exercises are done with your instructor, in a pool and in the Caribbean Sea, and provide you with an amazing experience of the underwater world. The local coral reefs are a beautiful work of nature, rich in different types of reefs, fish and mammals.
-Upon completion, you will receive a certificate, (recognized worldwide) which will allow you to dive with a partner, up to 18 meters deep.
